We needed some smaller pans for our countertop chafing dish. We do a buffet style meal at Thanksgiving, Christmas and other special occasions. Having the smaller pans lets us make much smaller pans of food so we are not left with enormous amounts of leftovers. Ordered the matching lids as well. We can get four of these in our 9 quart rectangular chafing dish. Now the chafing dish isn't designed to hold this size pan so we needed a way to support four of these in the water pan. To make them fit and stay out of the water in the bottom pan we took some aluminum foil and crunched it up into small balls. Put the balls of foil in the water pan and then set the food pans on top. Works perfect. They are the same thickness and gauge as the large pan that came with the chafing dish. Very pleased.
